There is a strong tendency on the part of some to accentuate “safe” topics in order to prevent them from having to address more controversial issues for fear of losing favor or prestige. In today’s climate when individuals are being unjustifiably attacked due to fear in a post 9/11 world, or driving while Black or flying while Muslim and White supremacist rhetoric and activity becoming more infectious, avoidance of these and similar volatile subjects will only give more aid, comfort and power to those who allow their positions in prejudice and biases to operate unchecked. This tendency is prevalent within the Muslim and non Muslim world alike. These positions must be challenged.
The UNWORTHYMUSLIM.COM was created as a stage where these and other much avoided topics in both worlds can no longer be hidden. This site exists to literally address the “elephant in the room.” This site is geared to prick everyone’s comfort zone, encourage them to ask why they think the way the do, and to motivate them so that when an injustice takes place around them where before they chose to ignore it because they saw themselves as protected from it, they instead recognize the danger on a global level and act to change it with their hands, speak out against it or at least hate it in their heart.
UNWORTHYMUSLIM.COM originated as a name to bring attention to different aspects of oppression whether spiritual, ideological, psychological, or physical. Before anyone can be oppressed, the oppressor must make his intended victim feel completely worthless in their humanity. This site is meant to give a voice to the condition of the dispossessed and remind them of the worth that Allah (The Creator of all) created all humans with.
With that in mind we will cover a variety of topics ranging from the spiritual and physical to the economic and political. We will provide a different perspective that will challenge and insha Allah be educational. Here you will find not merely Quranic verses and hadiths but a unique perspective of their diverse applications. You will also find our take on certain events taking place in America, Africa, and other parts of the world. This is necessary because Al Islam was presented by Allah for all mankind with diversity in mind. Therefore everyone should be encouraged to try and see how these diverse events take shape and their cause/effect relationship. Differences of opinion conveyed in mutually respectful manners will always be appreciated. Vulgarity, obscenity and offensive language will not.
